THE AREA
The Cayman Islands are known worldwide as a diver's paradise. The coral reefs around Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac provide unmatched views of colorful undersea life. For those wishing to get away from it all, the small island of Cayman Brac (east of Grand Cayman and Little Cayman) is a wonderful choice. The island receives fewer visitors than Grand Cayman, so the coral reefs offer truly pristine diving conditions. In the island's interior, you will find an exotic wilderness of wild fruit trees and flowering plants. Birdwatching is a popular pastime, and adventurous hikers can explore the island's many caves.

THE PROPERTIES
Sandy Ground Villa is set just 200 feet from the water on Cayman Brac. You can enjoy excellent snorkeling and scuba diving from the coral reef on the waterfront immediately in front of the house. With a large deck facing east, and balconies on the other sides of the house, this comfortable villa offers spectacular views of the sea and sunsets. (Families with young children should be aware that the balconies are about 10 feet off the ground, and also that the sea floor drops off steeply in some areas near the house.) The villa's manager can arrange fishing trips and provide advice about activities on the island. Guests can also use the tennis courts at two local hotels. The villa is a 5-minute drive from the airport, and beaches, shops, and restaurants are close by; however, car rental is recommended for exploring the island.
