THE AREA

few resorts on the island, and working banana plantations and fishing
villages set the unspoiled tone. Explore the rainforest, tour La Soufriere
("the drive-in volcano"), or just relax on the beach at Shingle
Cove Estate, located on the west coast of St. Lucia between Castries
and Marigot Bay. Three separate cottages within the five-acre compound
ensure privacy, and each location offers stunning ocean views. The cottages
are furnished in comfortable tropical style, and the gardens are lushly
planted with exotic fruits and flowers. Shingle Cove's own kayaks, sailboards,
and snorkeling gear are available for exploring the coastline.
INTERIORS
Main House:
master bedroom, bath, living room, large kitchen, and veranda/dining
area overlooking the ocean. Entertainment center with TV, VCR, stereo,
& film/music library.
Hill Cottage:
bedroom, bath, kitchen, and veranda with commanding view of the sea
and passing ships.
Pool Cottage:
newly remodeled, with ground-floor living area, kitchen, bath; 2 upstairs
suites each with double bed, bath, kitchen & veranda.
