THE AREA
On the island of St. Martin / sint Maarten, you will find two European cultures thriving in the heart of the Caribbean. Located just south of Anguilla and west of St. Barts, this small island enjoys the gorgeous white sand beaches and turquoise seas that are typical of the West Indies. French St. Martin occupies the northern side of the island, while Dutch Sint Maarten lies to the south. The entire island is just 37 square miles in area, making it easy for visitors to experience both cultures. Each side is distinctively different in architecture and ambience. On St. Martin, you will find many fine French and Creole restaurants, while the Dutch side offers more in the way of nightlife (including several casinos), plus excellent duty-free shopping. Most of our best villas are located near the French capital, Marigot, and nearby Simpson Bay Lagoon, the largest lagoon in the Caribbean.

THE PROPERTIES
Our contemporary-style villas on St. Martin are notable for their beautiful design and furnishings. All of these light, airy homes enjoy sea views, some of which are truly stunning. From a secluded hilltop, you may sit back and enjoy sea views, some of which are truly stunning. From a secluded hilltop, you may sit back and enjoy panoramic views overlooking Simpson Bay or across the sea toward Anguilla. The typical villa features its own swimming pool (a few locations share a pool) and spacious wood or tile terraces for outdoor living and dining. A few properties are set right on the beach, but most are on hillsides just a few minutes' walk or drive from the beach and watersports. Tennis, golf, restaurants, and nightlife are equally near at hand.

INTERIORS
Villas include 2-5 bedrooms, 2-4 bathrooms, living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, and terraces. The typical villa is attractively furnished, often in wicker or rattan, and offers amenities such as telephone, TV, washing machine, and air-conditioned bedrooms. One or two villas include a separate guest cottage.
