THE AREA
The island of Providenciales (known as Provo) is located just northwest
of Grand Turk in the relatively undiscovered Turks & Caicos Islands.
Small, friendly Provo offers wonderful white sand beaches and crystal-clear
waters. Snorkeling and scuba diving are popular activities, as are deep-sea
fishing, and bonefishing closer to shore. Tennis and golf are also available
on the island. Provo's nightlife tends to be informal and spontaneous;
in town you will find a variety of restaurants and bars, and even a
small casino.

are many deserted beaches and uninhabited cays which can easily be explored
by boat.
