beachfront
casitas are
clustered together in a great location on Playa Tamarindo, about
three-quarters of a mile south of the center of Tamarindo. Lush
foliage, flowers, and trees surround the property; and the beach
is just on the other side of the trees, 20 yards away. The casitas
share a good-size swimming
pool .
Inside, the well-kept homes offer air-conditioning
, tile floors,
and a very high standard of furnishings. Each casita features
a patio with partial views of the ocean and nearby parkland. You
will enjoy convenient access to nearby restaurants, and to all
the attractions of the area-including nature tours, diving, and
surfing. Note: A 1-bedroom/1-bathroom guest cottage is also available
for rental together with one or both casitas. For bookings made
well in advance, the casitas and guest cottage may sometimes be
combined with the owners' 4-bedroom villa, to accommodate groups
of up to 14-18.
Casita #1
(for 2-4) has 1 bedroom (king) plus a queen-size sofabed. Casita
#2 (for 2-5) has 1 bedroom (king or twin) plus a queen-size futon
and a single futon. Each also offers 1 bathroom, living room,
and fully equipped kitchenette and dining area. Phone, fax, e-mail
available. Excellent full breakfast included. Rates shown are
for 2 people. Additional guests are $25 per person per night.

studio apartments are located right in the center of Tamarindo,
just off the main street. The location is extremely convenient-right
across the road from the beach (although there is no sea view)
and within walking distance of restaurants and local shops. The
apartments are well maintained but no-frills, with simple, functional
furnishings. Each apartment offers a small balcony or terrace,
and the property includes a very green front garden. An excellent
base for vacations spent mostly outdoors, these apartments are
best suited for younger travelers or those on a budget.
These studio
apartments offer a double bed and bunk beds, 1 bathroom, living
and dining areas, and fully equipped kitchen. Surcharge for stays
during Christmas/New Year holidays.

right on the beach, the Apartments del Mar are some of the nicest
apartments we have seen in the Tamarindo area. They are 5 minutes'
drive from town, putting Tamarindo's (mostly informal) restaurants
and bars within easy reach. There are just two apartments in this
chalet-style house, which is surrounded by a green lawn and trees.
The apartments are attractively furnished in contemporary style;
the bedrooms are especially beautiful. This is a great choice
for enjoying all that Tamarindo has to offer-gorgeous beaches,
wildlife watching, and the appealing atmosphere of an unspoiled
Costa Rican beach town. Note: This property has no swimming pool-but
the beach is right at your doorstep.
Each apartment
offers 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room (with futon), dining
area, and fully equipped kitchen.
