Our apartments in Edinburgh will put this historic city at your doorstep. Famous for its annual festival of the performing arts, Edinburgh approaches London in its wealth of cultural treasures.

In the Old Town, the Royal Mile -- the original, medieval part of the city -- runs from Edinburgh Castle down to Holyrood Palace, the home of Mary, Queen of Scots. The Castle itself is one of Britain's most impressive sights, towering over the city from the top of an extinct volcano. Crossing Princes Street, the city's main thoroughfare, you leave behind the cobblestone alleys and well-preserved medieval buildings of the Old Town, and enter the 18th-century New Town, which boasts some of Great Britain's finest Georgian terraces.

During your stay, you can shop for traditional Scottish tartans and woollens, or enjoy a game of golf in the land where the sport was invented (St. Andrews is an hour or so away). If you can be here in August or early September, you should not miss a performance or two at the Edinburgh Festival, internationally known for its theater, opera, music and dance. Up-and-coming, and sometimes more outrageous, performers are a hallmark of the companion Fringe Festival.

THE PROPERTIES
We offer a wide selection of private apartments throughout Edinburgh. As private homes, these offer both a very good value and the experience of living as the locals do. The typical home is simply but comfortably furnished, and set in a two-, three- or four-story townhouse, within 10-15 minutes' walk of the center of this compact city. Other properties are a slightly longer walk or short bus ride from the center. Some buildings do not have elevators.

If you would like a larger property, we offer a number of terrace houses within the city, as well as a few large luxury properties, 20-30 minutes' drive beyond the city.

INTERIORS
Apartments include 1-3 bedroom(s), 1-2 bathroom(s), living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. Studios are available, as well. Most offer TV, telephone, washer/dryer, microwave, and an extra bed or sofabed.
