attractive cottage stands on a hillside overlooking Clew Bay,
with superb views reaching to Clare Island and the mountain of
Croagh Patrick. Part of a small cluster of new homes, the cottage
is built in traditional style and has its own garden and patio
with outdoor furniture. One mile away is the market town of Westport,
with 18th-century buildings, offering a variety of shops, restaurants,
and galleries today. A rental car will allow you to explore the
scenic back roads of County Mayo, but you can walk to the local
pubs (100 yards); shops are just a few minutes further. Local
activities include fishing, golf, and horseback riding. This cottage
is also an excellent base for touring southwards into Connemara
and across into Galway.

living room with gas fire, and fully equipped eat-in kitchen opening
