THE AREA

Italy's Lake Como offers miles of shoreline dotted with romantic gardens, grand hotels, and picture-perfect villages-the most varied scenery and attractions of all the Italian lakes. Como's deep blue waters welcome swimmers, boaters, and windsurfers, while the surrounding mountains offer beautiful hiking trails.

The picturesque village of Bellagio is just one of Como's classic lakeside resorts; it is situated near the point where the three arms of the lake converge. In Cernobbio, just northwest of the town of Como (at the southern end of the lake), you will find the famous hotel, the Villa d'Este. In Cadenabbia, south of Menaggio (on the western shores), is the Villa Carlotta, with magnificent gardens that are open to the public. Ferries criss-cross the lake, calling at most major villages and providing unique views of these picturesque resorts. Easy day trips in the Como region can take you south to Milan, or west across the mountains to Lugano in Switzerland.

THE PROPERTIES

We offer villas and apartments on the western and eastern shores of Lake Como, in and around picturesque villages such as Varenna, Laglio, and Santa Maria Rezzonico. Your choices range from simple, comfortable apartments to grand old villas on lakeside estates. A few waterfront properties are available, and many homes feature exquisite lake views. You will be a short walk or drive from the nearest village, shopping, and dining. Some larger villas feature a private swimming pool, and one or two also feature a tennis court.

INTERIORS. Apartments and villas include 1-4 or more bedroom(s), 1-4 bathroom(s), living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. Studio apartments are available, as well. Furnishings range from simple to very comfortable, and may include period pieces. Some homes offer dishwasher, washing machine, and other amenities.
