within walking distance. Villa del Lago is well situated for day
trips south to the town of Como, the center of the Italian silk
industry, and to the elegant resort of Cernobbio (home to the
famous Villa d'Este grand hotel). Also within easy reach are 10
golf courses on this side of the lake.

living and dining rooms (both with fireplace), and fully equipped
kitchen with fireplace. Some of the bedrooms offer lake views.

in the hills above the western shores of Lake Como. Plesio is
at an elevation of about 1800 feet, and is only 25 miles from
Lugano and the Italian-speaking Ticino area of Switzerland. An
unspoiled village with narrow streets, Plesio is mostly car-free;
it is ideal for those who want a holiday base near Lake Como that
is a little off the beaten path. Public parking is available,
and you can drive to within 100 yards of the house. The local
grocery shop and bar are just a short stroll away. You will be
just over a mile from Breglia and about 3 miles from the larger
resort of Menaggio, which offers ferry connections to other towns
on the lake.
The house offers 3 bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin), 1-1/2 bathrooms,
living/dining room with fireplace, entrance hall, and fully equipped
eat-in kitchen. Simple, pleasant furnishings. Central heating,
washing machine. The double bedrooms have balconies.
