THE AREA
The Algarve coast of Portugal offers many charming seaside resorts along with magnificent scenery and a fascinating Moorish heritage. All along the coast, you will find wonderful stretches of white sandy beach interspersed with hidden coves and spectacular rock formations. This is one of the few areas of Europe where a traditional way of life still thrives alongside bustling modern resorts.

The resort of Carvoeiro is nestled between high cliffs in the central Algarve, west of Albufeira. Once a tiny fishing village, Carvoeiro is now flourishing with shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, but still retains much of its original charm. We offer villas, townhouses and apartments in three sections of Carvoeiro, all furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Most of the villas are perched on cliffs overlooking the Bay of Carvoeiro and the Atlantic. Almost all of the villas feature private pools, while the apartments offer large shared pools. The excellent, well-run sports facilities include a tennis club (with professional coaches, a sauna and massage room), squash courts, golf courses and riding stables. There are good beaches at the foot of the cliffs, just below the villas, and many other excellent beaches are located within a 10-15 minute drive. Sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing and deep-sea fishing are all available. There are play areas and special activities for children, and childcare can be arranged. A car is recommended for day trips along the scenic, beautiful coast to historic towns such as Portimao and Lagos.
