THE AREA
Extending south from Barcelona, Spain's Costa Dorada ("Gold Coast") includes vibrant resorts, small fishing harbors, and delightful sandy beaches. Just 20-30 minutes' drive south of Barcelona is Sitges, a leading resort with dozens of restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs. This thriving resort has also become a popular destination for gays, and welcomes all with its cosmopolitan atmosphere. The charming old town center shows a quieter side, and of course, the main attraction is the beaches, long stretches of soft, golden sand. A beachfront promenade extends the length of town.

Continuing south from Sitges, you reach attractive resorts such as Cunit, Cambrils (a yachting center), and Salou, near the Ebro Delta. About 40 miles south of Sitges is the historic city of Tarragona, which preserves a rich Roman and medieval heritage. A Roman amphitheatre, mosaics, and an impressive aqueduct are just a few of the archaeological treasures here. And wherever you stay on the Costa Dorada, Barcelona may lure you back more than once to admire its elegant, fanciful architecture and savor its wonderful Catalan cuisine.

Our properties on the Costa Dorada are located in and around Sitges and other resorts and villages. We offer many choices, from affordable smaller apartments to large, upscale villas. The apartments are typically in attractive low-rise buildings, some close to the beach, others just 10-15 minutes' walk from the sea. Most groups of apartments feature a communal swimming pool and sun terraces, while private villas usually include their own pools.

INTERIORS
Apartments and villas include 1-3 or more bedroom(s), bathroom(s), living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. Studio apartments are available, as well. Furnishings range from simple to very comfortable, and may include extra beds or a sofabed.
