THE AREA
On Spain's sunny Costa del Sol, you'll find cosmopolitan resorts such as Marbella and Puerto Banus, as well as smaller seaside communities that are perfect for enjoying all that this region has to offer. One such community is the Dorada Estate, an attractive pueblo-style development of villas and apartments 4 miles from the small resort of Estepona (just west of Marbella). Built in traditional Spanish style, these comfortable, whitewashed villas blend pleasingly into the landscape, with locations either on the hillside or close to the water. A small number of beachfront villas and one or two villas with private pools are also available. Many of the properties enjoy wonderful ocean views.

THE PROPERTIES
The Dorada Estate offers shared swimming pools (up to six are available), as well as several restaurants and a grocery store for your daily needs. In nearby Estepona, you will find a number of good, small restaurants, a yachting marina, a fishing harbor, and an attractive seaside promenade for evening strolls. Sailing, windsurfing, horseback riding, golf and tennis are all available close by. You can relax away from the crowds, while still enjoying easy access to the recreation and nightlife of Marbella, which is within a half-hour's drive. Day trips can bring you to the hilltop "white villages" for which Andalusia is famous, to medieval towns such as Ronda, or to the architectural glories of Seville. Longer day or overnight trips are possible to the Rock of Gibraltar, or even across the narrow straits to exotic Morocco.
