St. Moritz is the winter sports capital for the international set. A magnet for blue bloods and the very rich since it first drew skiers in 1864, this glamorous resort offers some of the world's best skiing. Some of the more uncommon events that occur here in the winter include golf, horse racing and polo on the frozen Lake of St. Moritz and the famous Cresta bobsled run. Also available are ice skating, curling and tobogganning. The resort's ski school is justly famous. Summer activities include hiking, tennis, squash, sailing and windsurfing. And in any season, what is fondly called the "champagne climate" is everywhere in evidence - with chic and expensive shops, gourmet cuisine, sophisticated nightlight, exclusive hotels and elegant patrons.

Located 120 miles from Zurich, St. Moritz has twice hosted the Olympics. With sunshine 322 days a year, the town is reportedly Switzerland's sunniest spot. It also boasts mineral springs that, for centuries, have been extolled for their healing powers. The skiing is for every taste and level and includes many cross-country trails as well as the more famous Alpine runs.

We offer apartments and two or three chalets in the upscale Dorf section of St. Moritz (the original village), the more reasonably priced Bad area near the lake and such satellite neighborhoods as Silvaplana, Celerina and Pontresina. These properties typically are Alpine style, with plenty of wood inside and out. Many have balconies that look out to the soaring Swiss Alps or over the lake.

INTERIORS. Apartments typically include 1-3 bedroom(s), 1-2 bathroom(s), living room, dining area and fully-equipped kitchen. A few have fireplaces and some include drying rooms for boots and skis. Furnishings may be attractively functional to very comfortable. Amenities may include TV, VCR, dishwasher or washing machine. Some properties offer jacuzzis or saunas.
