THE AREA
Fiji is one of the best-kept secrets of the Fiji Islands -- and some
even call it the most beautiful island in the Pacific. Those who maintain
homes here include some of the world's most discerning travellers. Fiji's
beaches are magnificent expanses of white sand, and there is world-class
snorkeling and scuba diving amid the coral reefs offshore. You will
also find lush jungle terrain and dozens of enchanting waterfalls, which
you can reach on foot or by mountain bike. Cultural tours and nature
hikes can be arranged, and bicycles, paddleboats, sea kayaks and outrigger
canoes are available for rent.
THE PROPERTIES
Villa Marau
Vale boasts a spectacular location with 400 feet of private white sand
beach on Fiji. This attractive 3-bedroom villa is set on a two-acre
estate planted with an abundance of papaya, mango and banana trees.
There are sweeping ocean views from the villa and its 1100 sq. ft. of
decks and terrace (equipped with plenty of outdoor furniture and a large
barbecue area). Indoors, the villa features wicker and rattan furnishings
and colorful Fijian textiles. A full-time staff of three will see to
your every need, beginning with your arrival, when you will be met at
the airfield a few minutes' walk from the house. Meal preparation can
be arranged with the housekeeper, and you can even request a "lovo,"
a traditional Fijian feast. Several restaurants, a small general store
and a dive shop are only a short walk away, and the nearest town (six
miles away) is easily reached by bus or taxi. For a perfect day trip,
the villa's staff will transport you by motorboat to the best snorkeling
sites or to some of the nearby deserted islands.

Vale comprises 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin, 1 bunkbeds), 1-1/2 bathrooms,
living and dining areas, fully equipped kitchen, and terraces. The villa
is comfortably furnished in island style.
