This 18th Century Maison de Sagrillac is surrounded not only by 5 hectares of beautiful gardens but beyond that, there are magnificent views over rolling farmland.
The house has been refurbished to a high standard and the furniture complements the style. Art and music play a large part in creating the relaxing ambience. The dining room is spacious and is the ideal place for entertaining. A shaded, vine-covered 'auvent' is one of two outside dining areas in which to enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner. The cook is local and her services 6 days a week, are included in the rental. Preparation of traditional light or full meals with local produce comes highly recommended and will add to an enjoyable holiday.
The master bedroom is beautifully furnished to create a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere and has doors onto the terrace where breakfast can be enjoyed. The house is suitable for 8 adults and 4 children who may sleep in 2 low ceiling attic rooms. Alternatively it can accommodate 10 adults with 8 in the main house and 2 in a studio flat (Dependance) next door.
You will certainly have peace, calm and tranquillity while you sit around the pool. However, for the energetic, the recently-completed hard tennis court is ready for your exclusive use.
The caretaker lives out but is always on hand should you require assistance. Since the property is situated 'out in the wilds', there is a dog for security, she is called 'Muttley' and actually owns the place! If you are not sure about dogs (although she is very friendly), you need never see her.
