Merlin House is situated only 2 minutes from the beach in the quaint holiday village of St. Francis Bay, the gateway of South Africa's famous Garden Route. The protected bay is famous for superb deep sea fishing and rock angling. Snorkelling and diving conditions are excellent, and when it comes to swimming and sunbathing the choice is wide. The warm sea waters are bordered by 5 kms of safe, gently sloping sandy beaches. Many rare shells are scattered around these unspoiled beaches. Windsurfers are a familiar sight in the bay, while the river and canals offer outstanding waterskiing opportunities. It is only 5 minutes to the Port St. Francis waterfront and Cape St. Francis lighthouse and nature reserve; 40 minutes to Storms River in Tsitsikamma National Forest (Garden Route); and an hour to Baviaanskloof.
Golfers can enjoy the facilities of a well laid-out 18-hole golf course right across our doorstep, while two outstanding all-weather tennis courts in the village cater to the true tennis lover. Walking or riding along the many lovely trails in the area are easy ways to explore the magnificent surroundings of the Kromme Rivier.
This charming, very neat, recently renovated holiday home sleeps a maximum of 8 persons and is close to all amenities (300 meters). It is adjacent to the golf course and 200 meters from a safe beach. The house consists of 2 bedrooms, full bathroom, open-plan living/dining room with satellite TV and stereo, and a fully equipped modern kitchen with under-counter oven and hob. A lovely wooden deck leads to an additional rondavel bedroom with en-suite bathroom. A mezzanine lounge area can accommodate 2 additional persons.
