Dating from the beginning of the XVIII Century, Quinta do Linho is situated in Colares, on a hillside facing west, about 5 km from the town of Sintra and beaches, but close to the village of Colares.
The estate occupies 25 acres and is surrounded by ancient stone walls. Famous for the amount and variety of camellias that flourish in the gardens, this is considered one of the most typical Quintas in the Sintra area.
The rustic simplicity, the old trees and gardens, the blue agapanthos as well as the gaps through the mountain range where you can see the ocean, make the Quinta a small paradise, enjoyed for almost 300 years by writers, painters, intellectuals, artists and nature lovers in all its splendour.
All the existing houses in the Quinta have been carefully restored. They are equipped with all the necessary requirements for your comfort without sacrificing the atmosphere and peacefulness of the place. Thus, and as an example, the houses have a modern and comfortable heating system, indispensable fireplace in the living rooms used in this kind of houses. Not forgetting the security systems: the houses have a fire and intrusion detection system permanently monitored by a private group. Meals can be served on request.
