This is a delighful and very ancient village house, situated on the banks of the river Drôme. The great advantage here is the proximity to some shopping facilities and a restaurant, yet with total privacy and tranquillity. The walls of the ground floor are part of the original Roman fortifications, and lead out to a vine-covered terrace below which is a further terrace sloping down to the riverbank.>br>
The entrance is in the small village square, just 35m or so from the private garage.
The interior is comfortable and full of character. The top floor library/sitting room with its grand piano is particularly light and spacious. The bedrooms are smallish and more old-fashioned. The main rooms have magnificent views across the river and the wooded countryside to a backdrop of mountains. Riverside walks, canoeing and fishing are all adjacent to the house.
