This apartment is situated in the old town near the Arc de Triumph and the Ciutadella Park; the continuation of Sant Pere Mes Baix, a well-known and busy shopping street near the Gothic Church of Sant Pere, a real neighborhood with plenty of old-world charm. The neighborhood has become very trendy, so if you stay at nearby Sant Pere, you will be only a few minutes walk from the Born and Santa Maria del Mar, and cosmopolitan area of tapas bars, restaurants, and terraced cafés.
The apartment is on the second floor up from street level. The staircase is old-fashioned and quite nice. The front door opens on to a the main hallway, which runs from the kitchen to the living room. The living/dining room measures about 40m2, with 2 large sofas, and a dining room table with seating for eight. Three large French doors with roll-down shutters open on to the balcony. The living room is "L-shaped", and the arch leads into a small room, separated from the rest with a folding screen, with two single beds.
At the other end of the hall, with its small bathroom with shower, is the kitchen, the master bedroom, and another small bedroom. The kitchen measures about 20m2, and has a double sink, a large fridge, electric oven, gas stove-top, toaster, expresso coffee maker, and plates and silverware for 12 people.
The main bedroom measures about 24m2 and has a king-sized bed and a private full bath. This part of the house has a enclosed glassed-in veranda overlooking the block's interior patio. The veranda has a washing machine and drying rack. Curious thing: there is a wall safe (key and combination) in the main bedroom which you may use.
The other small bedroom across from the master bedroom measures about 15m2, with two single beds and a large fitted closet.
There are new but attractive terra cotta floor tiles throughout the apartment. The furnishing is mostly from IKEA or similar Scandanavian modular stuff: made of wood, functional. There is plenty of light throughout the flat, including reading lights for all beds.
