Apart from three function rooms, a dining room and a library, the banqueting hall has a renaissance style fireplace and will provide a truly medieval experience. A 3-bedroom cottage is available for additional guests.
The castle is set in 30 acres of woodland, and rich green fields lead down to the Lough/Lake situated a mere stone's throw away. Awaiting you is the freedom to ramble around this idyllic Irish countryside. Local leisure pursuits include fishing, boat trips and horse riding. Balloon rides above this beautiful landscape will also be available, providing breathtaking views and an exhilarating experience. If this isn't enough, a few minutes away is the local golf club, which boasts a course designed by world-renowned golfer, Christy O'Connor.

1st Floor: 4 Double Bedrooms with ensuite Bathrooms, 2 with a private Terrace, All with views to lake or over gardens. The main Tower links to the Victorian wing, 15th century floor and the Minstrel’s Gallery with Large inglenook fireplace and a Terrace overlooking the gardens and Lough.
2nd Floor: 2 Double Bedrooms with private ensuite Bathrooms.
3rd Floor: 2 Double Bedrooms with private Bathrooms.
4th Floor: 2 Bedrooms with shower ensuites.
All bedrooms are substantial in size, have double beds and have most have fitted wardrobes.

The location of the Castle is excellent - situated on the Athlone/ Longford road, 5 miles from the main Dublin/Galway road, only 3 miles from the nearest village and just north of Athlone town, Ninety minutes from Dublin, less than 1 hour from Galway city and 10 minutes from rail connentions. Generally speaking the castle is a wonderful place to stay. It is fairly ghost free, has a wonderful medieval atmosphere and a great setting on the lake.
