It is within 1 hour by car from Kerry International airport and within 1 hour of the major tourist town of Killarney. Major tourist attractions in the area are the world famous Waterville Golf course, Derrynane National Park, Skellig Island Monastic Site, which can be reached by boat from the village harbour, Valentia Isalnd and the Ring of Kerry Tourist Route. Area has a wide array of beautiful cleann and unspolit beaches with outdoor activities such as surfing, windsurfing, fishing, diving, hillwalking, horse riding. There is a local post office and petrol station in the village as well as a pub/restaurant which provides traditional Irish entertainment at weekends. The nearest town with supermarkets, shops etc is Cahirsiveen which is 12km away. Property can be reached by UK from ferry to Cork which is 2 hours by car.
