Villa Petros is ideally situated above the beautiful cove of Agios Petros with its lovely clear waters and peaceful setting. A few short minutes down the track leading from the bottom of the property takes you to this enchanting place. About 15 minutes' walking along a footpath from the beach, which runs above the sea, will bring you to the quaint fishing village of Steni Vala and its tiny tavernas specialising in fresh local seafood. From this small port during the high season, you can find water taxi service to various beaches including the fantastic beach at Agios Dimitrios. Steni Vala also has a small beach of its own, a mini market and is serviced by the local bus and taxis.
The entrance to Villa Petros brings you directly upon a beautiful patio and BBQ area accented by an ancient olive tree giving shade to a stone-built dining table. The BBQ is made in the traditional island style and has an accompanying sink. The views to the sea and distant islands make a perfect backdrop for outdoor dining. The partial stone facade of the house blend superbly with the nature around and the many terraces and outdoor areas make living in the Greek style a breeze. The newly added fresh water pool (approx. 3mX7m) will give you added enjoyment.
Entering the spacious, open plan living room/kitchen, you instantly feel a warm, homey atmosphere. The quality woodwork, slate stone floors and corner fireplace give it a traditional counrty style and has lots of windows for light. The kitchen is well-equipped and modern and has a large wooden dining table. In the back corner, opposite the fireplace is an alcove with a built-in single bed. A decorative, painted wood screen nearby can be used to provide limited privacy. Just next to the alcove is a very small w/c with wash basin. The room is tastefully decorated with a few antique pieces and furniture and the double french doors lead out to the spacious sea-facing terrace.
A stone stairway leads to the second level with two bedrooms. One has double bed, en-suite w/c with 3/4 bathtub and two french doors leading to balconies. One is a sea-facing shared balcony and the other, a private balcony facing the BBQ and hillsides. The ceilings are all open wood-beamed and the pretty coloured bed covers make it homey and attractive. The second bedroom has two single beds, the same attractive decor and wood-beamed ceilings. The double french doors lead to the shared balcony and offer stunning views to the sea and the neighbouring islands. On the landing at the top of the stairs is a w/c shower room fitted with a washing machine.
The studio apartment is reached by an outdoor stairway to the side of the house and has its own terrace with peek sea views through the olive trees. The studio is open plan with a well equipped kitchenette, dining and living area and a low stone wall divides the sleeping area which has a doulbe bed. From the bedroom area is a w/c shower room. The apartment is decorated in the same attractive style as the main house and is a great space for either a couple, a teenage or adult child who needs privacy or the perfect place for nanny to watch the kids.
Villa Petros is a superb villa with private swimming pool, for those wanting that extra quality in a country setting. Its proximity to the sea makes it ideal for families with children and its private location make it great for couples wanting a romantic get-away.
Full cleaning and linen change twice aweek. Additional maid service can usually be arranged upon request before arrival at an extra fee. Baby cots, high chairs and extra beds can also be arranged on request as well as welcome packs, flowers, champagne etc.
