This is a beautiful Georgian house in the Baronial style with all the charm of its era, yet with modern facilities. Charvin House is a family home, which can be rented as a holiday house and is perfect for families.
The gardens, open to the public from May, are well maintained and stocked with rhododendrons and azaleas. Within the garden grounds are a newly created tennis court and a stocked trout loch.
The house enjoys superb views down Loch Linnhe and out to Morvern and the Isle of Mull.
The accommodation on the ground floor consists of a hall, a large drawing room with log fire, a dining room that can seat 16 adults maximum, a modern kitchen and a 'Ballroom' games room.
On the first floor there are 3 twin rooms, 1 double room and 2 bathrooms.
On the second floor there are 2 twin rooms (one can be made into a triple room), 1 Double room with a bunkbed and 1 room with a set of bunkbeds and a single bed.
Facilities include: central heating, log fires, a dishwasher, an electric cooker and hob, a microwave, a food processor, 2 fridges & 2 freezers, a washing machine/tumble dryer, TV and video, CD player and assorted books and games.
Oban and Fort William, both approximately 20 miles south and north respectively, offer a fine choice of shops and facilities including a sea life centre and skiing facilities. Golf can be played just 10 minutes from the house on an excellent 9-hole course and fishing, stalking and shooting can be arranged in the appropriate season. Boat charter and hire can be obtained in the locality.
