Casa Colvaria is a charming cottage in the village of Eugaria, perched on the wooded Sintra hills with views to the Atlantic coast. Eugaria is a simple village with narrow cobbled streets only 5 kms from the historic town of Sintra and within 8 kms of the Atlantic beaches. The cottage has recently been restored and offers comfortable accommodation for six people. The whole top floor is a delightful living room opening onto a terrace with glorious views towards the mountains and coast.
There are several excellent golf courses within easy driving distance including the famous Penha Longa and Estoril Golf Club. Sintra has been designated a world heritage site and has many castles and palaces to visit. The village of Colares is about 2 miles away with small shops and restaurants and Cascais and Estoril are within easy reach for more sophisticated entertainment and shopping. There is very little public transport so a car is essential. There are several different types of beaches within easy reach, from the Praia Grande for surfing to the more sheltered beaches at Cascais.
