Villa Francesco. is a luxurious patrician estate nestling quietly in the hills a few minutes from the ancient walled city of Lucca. Once a country retreat for Tuscan nobles, the oldest building dates back to the 11th century.
The three main buildings are set in a stunningly beautiful Italianate park with cypress trees, magnolias, weeping willows, small lakes and fountains. There is also a salt-water swimming| pool. A professional chef and sommelier are on hand. On request they will readily stage mouth-watering cookery courses and exquisite wine tastings.
Lovingly restored to its former 18th century glory, “Villa Francesco” is the ideal choice for important events and gatherings of friends and family. Also, in view of the reasonable rental required for a property of such luxury and stature, (the charge covers the costs of the full-time domestic staff), this could be the perfect venue for that special business conference or incentive vacation
Ground Floor: The ground floor comprises a large, fully equipped kitchen, a magnificent formal dining room for banquets, a drawing room with fireplace and SAT TV, an office with PC and fast internet access, a centralized music facility and CCTV security and surveillance system. Guests will also enjoy the exquisite music room with grand piano, the cards and billiard room, and of course the wine room (housing one of the best private collections of wines in Tuscany). A gym with workout equipment and sun lounge are also on the premises.
The ground floor also contains four bathrooms, a service area, laundry room and accommodation for the household staff.
First Floor: The first floor contains the twelve guest bedrooms (all with five-star en suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, telephone) and extends over three separate areas. These include the upper section of a stone chapel, now converted to house three bedrooms which overlook the swimming pool and flower-filled terrace. The lower part of the chapel now acts as a luxury sun lounge and TV room.
Five magnificent bedrooms are located in the one time hunting lodge – the oldest part of the property with its charming horseshoe shape. This section gives onto a pretty piazza with aromatic lemon trees and flower arrangements.
These five bedrooms stand above the music, games and wine rooms and still retain their original beamed ceilings and terracotta floors.
Four further bedrooms take up the third area of the first floor above the main dining room and drawing room. Their windows look over of the original 17th century fountains and Italian park.
