The village is hanging on the wooded hill of the Serra de Sintra, also known as Serra da Lua 'The Moon Mountain;' The coast is 1.2 Km away and offers spectacular scenery with Cabo da Roca (most western point of Continental Europe on a 140 m high cliff) and big sandy beaches (magnificent Ursa beach (ca. 30 Min.walking distance); Adraga beach (10 min.drive) was ranked as one of the ¡¯20 perfect European beaches¡¯ by the Sunday Times; Guincho beach) partly stretching out below cliffs. There are several golf courses near our area. Quinta da Marinha, Penha Longa or Oitavos Club, are 20 min. drive away.
