It is a 3-minute walk to Piazza Santo Spirito featuring Brunelleschi's beautiful Church of the same name, and a daily food and clothing market. It is a convenient location for shopping, restaurants and most museums.
This apartment is also close to many Italian Language Schools, i.e. the Fiorenza Center and Eurocentre in Piazza Santo Spirito. Across the river is the British Institute, with interesting lectures and a comprehensive language school (both Italian and English).
The apartment is situated on the first floor up, 26 steps from street level. This well-appointed private home of a prominent Florentine family consists of: a living room with 3 windows on the street, a large dining room (table for 12), a small kitchen, a utility room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms divided as follows: the master bedroom (with two twin beds that may be joined to make a double) has an adjoining bathroom (with shower).
A smaller, twin bedroom may also access the master bathroom through a separate entrance. The third bedroom (2 twin beds that may be joined to make a double) is next to a hall bathroom (with tub and handshower). This bedroom also has a single-size sofabed.
The furnishings combine a mixture of modern and beautiful antiques. There are terra cotta floors, Persian carpets, exposed brick arches and lovely wood-beam ceilings creating an elegant atmosphere. The apartment is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, television, kitchenware and linen. It measures approx. 150 square meters. The heating is autonomous gas. Two garages for parking are nearby, one in via del Presto di San Martino and the other in Borgo San Jacopo.
OUR PERSONAL OPINION
"An extremely comfortable and elegant apartment, with quiet bedrooms. There is no direct sunlight as it is on the south side of the river".
