The property also features a private lake, 2 tranquil streams, an orchard and 2 acres of woodland. Although located in a rural area, all facilities can be found close by, and this makes the ideal base for walking, cycling or touring the surrounding area. The landing beaches at Arromanches are 35km away, as is Caen with its Peace Museum, castle and horse races. Pegasus Bridge (45km) is where the British Commando landed the day before D-Day.
