Villa Troussos, on the outskirts of the mountain hamlet of Roussopiti, is a delightful spacious modern residence suitable for up to 10 people, built into the rugged hillside and close to a group of four detached houses. The final short driveway to the house is rough and steep.
There are lovely views over the mountainous Cretan countryside and beyond to the sea off in the distance. At the front of the house on a lower terrace, there is a 50 sqm private swimming pool, with surrounding sun terraces equipped with sun beds and umbrellas.
There are four bedrooms, three of which have a double bed, and one has a double bed and twin beds. Further there is a shower/wc and two bathrooms/wc, one of which has a large corner bath.
The villa is spaciously and pleasantly arranged on a variety of split-levels, with marble floors and rugs. There is a well equipped kitchen area, dining area, and open plan living room with a stone fireplace and comfortable seating. There is a huge open garage space underneath the villa, which is also used as general storage area.
There are large verandas leading off the rooms, offering views over the village, the mountains and all the way down to the sea. The villa is well furnished and is equipped with modern facilities such as Satellite TV, video, telephone, microwave oven, and a washing machine. The nearest two tavernas are in the village, and therefore within walking distance.
A large selection of shops and tavernas, and wonderful long sandy beaches can all be found in Rethymno, which is a short drive of about 6 km. Because of the rural position of Villa Troussos, we do consider a car to be essential.
