Nestled on a steep hillside overlooking the harbour of Hydra, this charming whitewashed Greek house with bright blue shutters and walls draped with pink bougainvillea, is a delightful and magical property.
The caring owner has converted the house with great attention to detail, making it rather special in its simplicity. It has marble floors throughout, and a secluded patio area with marble benches, a sun umbrella, table and plunge pool (4 x 2m, and 2m deep), which is floodlit in the evenings. There are a couple of seats in the pool, and a fridge next to it which keeps cool drinks always at hand.
The views from the patio over the busy horseshoe-shaped harbour and the sea are outstanding. Flying dolphins (hydrofoils), cruise liners and yachts come and go constantly, while on land, donkeys pass to and fro with their heavy loads. There are no cars on the island and the climb up to the property is steep, but along a gradual winding path with wide steps. Baggage is taken to the property by donkey.
