Charming well decorated house with Provencal touch is situated in the heart of an old village, 1.5 miles from the center of Avignon and 500 yds. to shops. Close to the bus stop.
There is a small terrace with a panoramic view of the countryside and the suburbs of Avignon.
There is parking for one small car in front of the house to deliver the luggages. The common parking is located at 100m up to the church place.
The little house, a semi-attached stone and stucco town house, is located in a Vieux Village. It is on a bluff overlooking the Rhone River. This village is inhabited by artists and professionals with its population of about 200 ranging in age from infants to the elderly. It is two minutes, by car, from a wonderful shopping mall with a terrific supermarket, and five minutes from the parking lot in Avignon.
A few steps from the house are marked trails across fields of wildflowers and herbs (garrigue). The house originally 3 small cottages, has been lovingly restored and modernized. It is on several levels.
On the main floor there is a large combination dining roomliving room with a cozy sleeping loft that has a double bed. There is a very good stereotape deck in the living room.
The living room opens onto a small terrace with gorgeous views. There is a small table with chairs for outdoor dining. A few steps up from the living room is a large, well equipped eat-in kitchen with an old terra cotta floor, a picture window overlooking the Rhone valley and another window with a view of the village. There is a large, American style refrigerator, a double sink, dishwasher, stove, microwave oven, gas stove and an electric coffee maker. Dishes, glassware, cutlery and cooking implements are provided. There is a short-wave AMFM radio.
Beyond the kitchen (and one step down), is a separate toilet room with a floor to ceiling bookcase, and a separate bright room with a shower, sink and a small chest with drawers. This room has a lovely view. The bedroom is large, with a comfortable double bed, dresser, desk, radio and TVVCR. There are 3 windows and it is cool except in the hottest weather. There is a linen closet in the bedroom. There are ample sheets, blankets and towels. Below the main living room, reached by a stairway from the kitchen, is a sitting room with a working fireplace, desk and chairs. The click-clack sofa turns into a double bed making this a guest room. Three steps down from the sitting room is a vaulted stone area with a toilet, a closet for hanging clothes, a full size freezer, a stone sink and a new washing machine. There is a place to hang laundry in inclement weather (there are clothes lines on the terrace).
The house has been comfortably and attractively furnished. The heatinghot water system is excellent. There is a private parking space in front of the house.

The owners are very well known artists (ceramic and painting) and there are many art works in the house fragile and of big value.
