This small Bernese Oberland village and its alpine meadow lie in a wonderful south-facing position, directly on the Lake of Brienz between Interlaken (10 km) and Brienz (6 km). Good public transport to all tourist centres and excursions to the Bernese Oberland. Worth seeing in the nearby surroundings are the outdoor museum of Ballenberg (above Brienz), the ride on the steam train to Brienzer Rothorn and the mountain torrents. Shops, restaurants.
