North Whilborough is a pretty south Devon hamlet, a few miles from the coast, and the splendid tors of Dartmoor are also within an easy drive. Whilborough Farm is a Grade II Listed, detached farmhouse, partly dating back to the late 17th Century. There are several original features, including beamed ceilings and a stone inglenook fireplace in the sitting-room. The large dining-room is furnished in pine with comfortable chairs on either side of another fireplace, housing a wood-burner effect gas stove. This room leads to the well-equipped pine fitted kitchen. There are two staircases, one in polished wood and the other with rather shallow treads so please take care, as well as one or two steps up and down on the landing. The bedrooms are charming with pretty bed linens and matching curtains, and the family room is quite spacious. Outside, the garden is especially pretty, terraced in places, and there is a sunny patio. The Owners live beyond Whilborough and share the driveway, but guests will be quite private.
