This relaxed large family house in a quiet, elegant, Kensington street is a real gem and an ideal base for a family visit to London. 5 minutes walk from Kensington High Street tube station (district and circle lines) and excellent shopping and 2 minutes from The Devonshire Arms, your local pub. Who could ask for more? Although there are one or two antique pieces, the house is elegantly furnished in a contemporary relaxed style. The main living room on the first floor is light and airy. The huge open plan kitchen and dining area on the ground floor leads out into a delightful garden, a sea of green with a charming water feature and rambling wisteria. This is a true oasis in the heart of London and an idea place to wind down after a hard day of seeing the sights. There's sleeping accommodation for 5: one large double bedroom (13ft6 x 13ft, 4.2m x 4.1m - 5ft bed) with adjoining bathroom, one smaller double bedroom (11ft6 x 9ft, 3.5m x 2.m - 4ft6 bed) with en-suite bathroom (shower), and one single bedroom with its own bathroom. The house comes with a much loved family cat and you'll be requested to put out its food (provided of course by the owner). It’s very clean and leaves little trace of its presence – even “cat sensitive” guests enjoy staying here. As an added plus there's a computer with broadband internet access. Charming and popular with the locals, The Devonshire Arms is your local pub. Also within 2 minutes walk is Stratfords an excellent (and good value) fish restaurant and The Pie Man selling pies from around the world and freshly baked bread. There are numerous other restaurants, pubs and cafés
