Casa La Cologna is a two-storied residence annexed to the main homestead of an estate located at the entrance to the town called Otura, next to the municipal park.
The property consists of 5 hectares of olive groves spreading over the fertile hills that lie south of the city of Granada. Manuscripts concerning the lodge date from the early nineteenth century, but it is still not possible to be precise about the date of construction. The materials used and the type of construction indicate a mid-18th century structure. An adjacent orchard or vegetable garden called "Huerta la Grande" (The Large Orchard) has always pertained to the lodge, the leasing of which went hand in hand with the orchard. From this rustic spot in the hills near the mountain pass "Suspiro del Moro" there are spectacular views of the surrounding area (Granada, The Alhambra, Sierra Nevada, Sierra Elvira, etc.).
