The provençal style villa lies in the Green Valley heights of Saint François, a quiet residential area of Grasse and has sweeping views towards the hills across the valley. It is surrounded by a garden planted with Mediterranean plants, hundred year old olive trees and rosemary, lavender and mimosa.
The old town of Grasse has long been the centre of the perfume making industry and is famous for its fields of roses, jasmine and lavender, which are harvested and distilled to make the scents and essences. The warm climate makes it a favourite place to winter and there are excellent shops, restaurants and general facilities. Within a two minute walk from the apartment, is a boulangerie which specialises in Provençal breads and pastries, hot croissants and pains au chocolat.
Cannes, a fifteen minute drive from here, lies on the Bay of Naples. Fringed by a semicircle of hills, it has an exceptionally mild climate with a rich variety of trees and plants, and a fine beach. The town has several festivals throughout the year, including the Film Festival in May. You can often find flower markets here and the area around the Rue Félix Faure has some wonderful shops.
Le Jasmin occupies the ground floor of the house. It is totally private and independent with its own entrance. It has marble floors and white walls and has been newly furnished. The double living room is decorated in the Provençal style in hot yellow and green tones and has a sofa bed, a round marble table and chairs, armchairs and satellite television, CD player and video.
The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, washing machine, an electric oven and hob with roasting jack and grill, microwave and refrigerator. It opens onto a private, half shaded terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, which overlooks the swimming pool.
There are two bedrooms, both pleasantly furnished and light, one decorated in blue tones and the other in beige and ivory. The blue room has a double and a single bed and the beige bedroom has a double bed. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath, washbasin and wc, the other with a shower, washbasin and wc, and there's an extra wc.
The swimming pool, occasionally shared by the owners, is surrounded by wrought iron fencing with gates and equipped with sunloungers. There is covered parking for cars.
