Entering into the main, open plan sitting room and kitchen, these light and spacious apartments have a contemporary look and feel that contrasts well with the ancient façade of the exterior of the building.
The lower level (1st floor of the building) apartment has one bedroom, furnished with a double bed at the rear of the building on a narrow, quiet street which should allow for a good nights rest. The kitchenette is located on one wall of the sitting room and is adequately equipped for simple holiday meals. There is a spacious and modern w/c shower room next to the bed room. A corner sofa unit has a fold-out section with space for two persons and a corner table is perfect for enjoying meals looking out at the fabulous views. The front wall of the unit has long windows to take full advantage of the wonderful views afforded from the perfect position of the place. A double French door lead to the balcony which is furnished with table and chairs – the perfect vantage point from which to watch the world go by.
Entering into the upper level maisonette (2nd floor of the building), the main floor has exactly the same plan as the lower apartment and includes the same balcony overlooking the old harbour. In this larger unit though, a stairway from the main sitting room leads to two additional bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed and a w/c shower room. Double French doors again lead out to the best feature of all, a huge roof terrace from which to enjoy these amazing views of Alonissos and the entire harbour of Skopelos. Fully furnished with table and chairs and sun lounger, many hours will be spent enjoying the fabulous views and soaking up the traditional atmosphere of this special place. (Due to the buildings’ waterfront location, both units have windows down one side of the rooms which overlook a shared access with the next building directly across. There are shutters and curtains to close off this view if desired.
EXTERIOR: Rosani Town House has the entrance on a quiet back (1st floor of the building) street reached easily from the waterfront. The House’s façade is without a doubt Skopelos Towns’ finest example of neo-classical architecture. The situation of its regal position on the ‘old’ harbour front assures that you will miss none of the ‘happenings’ on the lively waterfront; you are also a stones’ throw away from any restaurant, taverna, café or bar that takes you're fancy. At the same time, you are assured of some of the loveliest views to be had in the town. Imagine watching the ferries come and go over morning coffee or evening drinks. Watch the parade of locals, tourists and even horse-drawn carriages taking the traditional evening stroll down the waterfront every evening.
SURROUNDINGS: The waterfront location of these beautiful apartments leaves nothing to be desired in convenience. The full array of Skopelos is on offer from the convenient location of Rosano Apartment and Maisonette. One of the oldest tavernas in town is situated just next door along with its’ sophisticated café bar and roof terrace. A wonderful old café bar is also nearby which is full of character and is shaded by a 300 year old oak tree. There is a small mini market very near to the house and of course the buses and taxi stand are easily within walking distance. Those who like an evening stroll along the harbour or a walk along the beach in the morning have the convenience of everything the town has to offer, just outside your doorstep.
