The apartment is situated in the charming hillside town of Begur, and is less than 3 minutes walk from the village square. Here there is a market every Wednesday morning, folk dancing and music performances at weekends during the summer. Between the terrace restaurants and speciality food shops are shops selling high class art and craft. Within 15 minutes drive from the apartment are other coastal villages such as La Franc Begur is crowned by the ruins of a castle, overlooks a spectacular coastline and is a few minutes drive by car or shuttle bus (in season) from sandy bays, tiny coves, harbour and fishing ports. The Catalonian coastline between Barcelona and the French border offer some of the most spectacular coastal scenery. Barcelona with its international airport less than 2 hours away, is easily accessible as a day trip and is home to some of the worlds finest and most eccentric architecture. Figures to the north houses Salavador Dali's art gallery, which is the second most visited in Spain. Girona, also with an international airport only 45 minutes away is a magical place. This is a wonderful town to spend an evening in one of the restaurants in its many picturesque streets.
