Casa Porto is a beautiful home located minutes from Portuguese Beach. It is a very short walk to the beach. From the front deck, you can watch the waves crash on the beach. In the evening, you will see sunsets like you have never seen anywhere else. The backyard looks out on acres of beautiful pasture land and you can always see cows leisurely grazing. The view from the loft upstairs is incredible! If you plan your trip around a full moon, you won't believe how beautiful it is to look out your window at night and see it shining on the water. The home is fully equipped with just about anything you need for an enjoyable stay at the ocean, including a hot tub, large bathtub with a Jacuzzi, internet access and free long distance phone service. There is a TV in the living room as well as the loft and the master bedroom. The home is handicap accessible including a chair lift going to the upstairs. Many beaches in the area allow dogs on the beach as long as they are on a leash. There is also a beach at Monte Rio, on the Russian River, which is close by, where you are allowed to let your dog run free. There are many things to do while you are in Bodega Bay. Hiking, golfing, walking on the beach, beach combing, kite flying, biking, horseback riding on the beach, fishing, kayaking, excellent dining, wine tasting, surfing and best of all, whale watching. You can also just read a book and relax in the private yard and listen to the ocean. In addition to all of this, there are many annual events in and around Bodega Bay that are always enjoyable. The annual Fisherman's Festival, usually in April, is complete with a parade on the bay of beautifully decorated boats, a crafts fair, wine tasting and all kinds of delicious food. There is also the annual clam chowder fest, crab feeds, stew and polenta dinners, an art festival and many other events. If you would like to visit the beautiful Point Reyes National Seashore, it is just a forty-five minute drive south of Bodega Bay. The seashore is famous for it's many hiking trails and beautiful beaches.
