The first thing that will strike you about Medecha is the breathtaking view to the bay and the house has been designed to take full advantage of this. Set high on a hillside, the approach from the village is via a rough track, but with no passing traffic the location is tranquil and extremely private.
The house benefits from a lovely cooling breeze and is very spacious and light. The modern architecture and contemporary design is enhanced by the exquisite mix of antique and modern furniture and brilliantly coloured Turkish kilims. Picture windows and French doors lead from the open plan ground floor living areas to the surrounding pool and dining terraces. The covered dining terrace is ideal for family eating with a large dining table and a comfortable seating area that will undoubtedly be a favourite spot for early evening drinks. If part of your holiday enjoyment is buying local foods and preparing them you will appreciate the extremely well equipped and very sociable kitchen area.
The superb swimming pool (12 x 5 metres, depth of 1.5 metres) is surrounded by sunbathing terraces which are fenced making it ideal for children and it is equipped with comfortable sun beds and a large sun shade. But, in our opinion it's the stunning panoramic view framed on either side by the mountains that makes this property special.
Previous clients have been delighted with the services provided by Hasan and his wife Gülten, the housekeepers at Medecha. Alongside cleaning duties Gülten is happy to prepare delicious lunches and dinners and even do your personal laundry. Hasan looks after the pool and the grounds and his local knowledge comes in handy. He is always willing to show our guests where the freshest fish and produce can be purchased locally. The choice of whether to have the help of Hasan and Gülten is entirely yours.
Our other villa, situated on the neighbouring estate, is a short walk from Medecha and the two properties are ideal for families wishing to holiday together but with their own separate accommodation. Car hire is essential.
ACCOMMODATION
From private driveway, steps and a ramp lead up to the house level. Main entrance from dining terrace to open plan kitchen and living area. Additionally at ground floor level, master bedroom with four poster double bed, dressing room, small sitting area with sea views, door to dining terrace and en suite bathroom with shower/wc. Laundry room with washing machine and second fridge/freezer. Cloakroom with wc. Storage room.
The remaining bedrooms are situated on the first floor. One double bedroom with sea and mountain views, ceiling fan and small en suite bathroom with shower/wc. One twin room with mountain view and one further double bedroom with ceiling fan, sea view and terrace. Bathroom with bath/shower/wc.
The housekeepers live in their own cottage within the grounds. Portable barbecue.
