3000 square foot, four bedroomed all ensuite single storey house situated in a very quiet and secluded hillside, one mile from the centre of Kenmare, withpanoramic views of the Beara Mountains to the left through the Kenmare Bay and MacGillicuddy Reeks to the right. This stunning home has been finished to the highest standard. Public roomsinclude an oak floored TV room, with flat screen 42” LCD TV with Satellite(SKY) and recordable DVD player, and a Library Sitting Room with openfireplace. Throughout there is under floor heated using a Geothermal System with thermostatic controls. The house is surrounded by one acre of natural gardens. It was laid out in 1775 by the Lansdowns and, despite a thriving business community, it has managed to preserve its old world charm. There are excellent restaurants and two five-star hotels, not to mention colourful pubs and quaint little shops. Killarney lies in the opposite direction and has much to lure the visitor. Fishing hiking and horse riding is available in the area. Beyond Kenmare and over the metal bridge, lies the road to the Beara Peninsula. You can go sailing, canoeing or hill walking at Star Sailing in Dawros (4 miles from Kenmare on the Castletownbere road) Hire bikes from Finnegan’s Bike Shop, book golf lessons with the Adrian Whitehead Golf Academy in the Ring of Kerry Golf Club, go swimming in the new leisure centre at the Kenmare Bay Hotel, walk the Heritage trail in Kenmare town or strole the beach in Derrynane. Visit Kennedy’s Pet farm in Killarney or stay home and watch TV in the event that there is a rainy day!
