The flat is on the second floor of a fine block, with lift, set in mature gardens with Palm, Olive and Yucca trees. All rooms lead off a square marble-floored entrance hall and through French windows onto balconies which overlook either our gardens, neighbouring villas or Nice, the sea and, in the distance, the snow-capped mountains of the Alpes Maritimes. The pastel decor reflects the light of the Mediterranean. A caretaker visits the flat after each guest leaves so the flat is well maintained. The flat is five minutes walk from the Promenade des Anglais on a quiet residential street. Local shops, a supermarket and bus stops are all only five minutes walk from the flat on the Avenue des Augustins or the Avenue Californie. This area is a typically Nicoise area and there are few tourists. The flat overlooks the gardens of the block with its Palm and Olive trees and the medical faculty of Nice University in the immediate foreground and then the sea and the peninsula of St. Jean de Cap Ferrat in the distance. You can take your own. The area of the apartment is half-way between the Hotel Negresco and the airport in the West of Nice. It is about 10 minutes drive from each of them. The apartment is in a peaceful residential area but when this Avenue crosses the avenues of 'des Augustins', 'de la Californie' and the Promenade des Anglais, which are about five minutes walk away, you will find many local shops, including excellent patisserie shops, the 'Champion' supermarket, and restaurants and cafes. There is also a local laundry only five minutes walk from the residence.
