The well worn real estate agent's cry: "Location, Location, Location" was never more aptly applied than to this convenient rental. The flat has one twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom
This is a very practical, excellent value, basement flat and makes an ideal central London base for a couple. It is accessed by descending a short flight of iron steps (quite narrow and steep - not really suitable for the very young, old or infirm, but quite the norm in London and fine for any well-bodied person.)
It can't be described as luxurious but it's clean, comfortable, practical and well cared for. The owner lives in the house above.
The front door enters onto the living/dining area. This is a good sized room (15ft6 x 13ft, 4.75m x 4m) furnished with a comfortable sofa, a small dining table with 3 chairs and a reproduction desk and chair. There's a TV and video recorder, and phone/fax. The kitchen facilities are also in this room and include gas hob and oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee cafetiere etc. There's no dishwasher.
This room gives (closable shuttered doors) onto a nicely decorated bedroom with two 3ft single beds and lots of cupboard and drawer space. Off the bedroom is a short passageway giving onto a shower cubicle and small room with lavatory, wash hand basin and washer/dryer.
It's no accident that Knightsbridge, one of the most fashionable places to live, boasts some of the best shops and restaurants in London. Less than 5 minutes walk away in Beauchamp (pronounced Beecham) Place with its fine collection of fashion shops and at least 6 restaurants. The Hyde Park, Sheraton Tower and Berkley hotels, all with renowned restaurants, are all within a 10 minute walk on Knightsbridge walking towards Hyde Park Corner
