Special mention must be made of the beautiful and spacious ground-floor sitting room furnished with lovely country pieces, sofas and chairs in rich red and cream checked fabric, and huge fireplace, a perfect spot for large gatherings. Some armchairs have been upholstered in elegant fabric printed with ducks. Elegant sporting prints collected by the owners have been hung on the walls. The dining room has a beautiful table and cushioned chairs for 20 and a smaller breakfast area with country dresser and round tables.
All the ten spacious bedrooms have their own individual colour schemes. The kitchens and bathrooms have been equipped with ‘state of the art’ modern fittings. However, in keeping with the setting, great care has been taken to retain the traditional Tuscan feel of the property and brick arches, beamed ceilings have been retained.
Also worthy of note is the spacious outside pool loggia, with extensive views, teak sun beds, chairs and tables with cushions for sitting and dining outside. This is a perfect spot for outside dining - there is a large barbecue, roasting spit and grill area. The large pool has sun from dawn to dusk and at night the garden and pool are illuminated at night with dramatic effect.
Florence, Siena and Lucca are within easy reach while close at hand are the evocative hill towns of San Gimignano, San Miniato, Certaldo and the spa town of Gambassi. Keen walkers will enjoy the glorious landscape to neighbouring hamlets. Guests are looked after by the highly efficient English speaking manager who not only will assist you with booking cook but but is also delighted to give advice on restaurants, shopping and sightseeing, golf courses etc. She can also arrange visits to historic gardens and villas rarely open to the public, guided tours and tasting at local vineyards and olive oil mills. Perfect for those who like to comfort in holiday and style.
Accommodation
The ground floor sleeps 6. There is a double dining room, sitting room with open fireplace, kitchen with French windows leading out into the garden. There are two double and one twin air-conditioned bedrooms each with shower rooms en suite and French windows leading to the pool or the garden. On the first floor there are 3 seperate wings each sleeping 4 with its own private access. The north east wing has two air-conditioned double bedrooms, both with shower rooms en suite.
The central wing has a master suite with air-conditioning which sleeps 4 and has a private covered balcony, sittting room with open fireplace, kitchen/dining room, double and twin bedroom both with shower rooms ensuite. The south wing suite is air-conditioning with a balcony, large sitting/dining room with kitchen area, small sitting/reading room with sofa bed, double bedroom with shower room en suite, twin bedoom with bathroom en suite. The pool side granary cottage suite has air-conditioning and sleeps 2. The large double bedroom has a fireplace and shower room en-suite, with French windows onto a private sun terrace.

Staff: Maid: Twice midweek and final cleaning, extra maid service available on request approx. Euro 15-20 per hour, payable locally.
