A magnificent property set in a haven of tranquility amid the hills of the Loup Valley, near a picturesque medieval village on the Cote d'Azur. An idyllic location and a luxurious hideaway in the beautiful landscape of the Gorges du Loup nestling between the mountains and the beaches of the Mediterranean. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard, Villa Baudaire has six beautifully appointed bedrooms and four bathrooms comfortably providing accommodation for 12 people. There are five bedrooms in the main house - two double bedroom suites with en-suite bathrooms, one double and two twins with two further bathrooms. In addtion there is a separate guest apartment with a double bedroom and bathroom. The formal living/reception room is very spacious and leads into a second lounge with library and TV with satellite TV, DVD player (plus a good selection of films) and music system. From here is access out onto the terrace and down to the pool area. Turning right from the entrance hall is a light and airy dining room through to an enormous modern kitchen, newly fitted, decorated and appointed with state-of-the art appliances (5-ring cooker, US size fridge etc.) and plenty of work surface. There is a separate laundry room with washer and dryer. From the kitchen French doors lead out to a lovely sun terrace with table and chairs and then onto the pool. In-keeping with the style of the house, the property has a magnificent pool (6x12) and pool area surrounded by terrace and lawn and shaded by mature palm trees. The pool terrace has a teak outdoor dining table fpr 12, family-sized BBQ and plenty of sunbeds. Near the pool is a traditional boules pitch shaded by the olive trees. The garden is laid out in lawned terraces planted with olives, palms, oleander and lavender - all the essences of a Mediterranean garden. Next to the kitchen is a peaceful wisteria-shaded terrace with table and chairs - perfect for morning coffee. Villa Baudaire is a couple of minutes from the nearby village with its local shops and restaruants, and only five minutes from the larger shopping area of Chateauneuf. It's about 20 minutes to the historic towns of Grasse, Vence and St Paul de Vence home to the Impressionist painters, 25 minutes to Antibes and Cannes and 40 minutes to Nice airport.
