Casa Camarre is 45 minutes drive from Lisbon and Lisbon airport and is 15 minutes from the historic town of Sintra and from various beautiful palaces. Tennis courts, golf courses and riding facilities are also all within 15 minutes drive. There are great restaurants nearby, especially for seafood.
The region is one of the most interesting in Portugal. The beaches are varied and sandy. Most locals you may meet speak English.
Great beaches are a very short drive away. The house is in the countryside, on the outskirts of the village. Coastal nightlife buzzes with bars and a few nightclubs. Further afield is the charming, cliff-perched fishing village of Ericeira, with narrow cobbled streets and famous seafood restaurants. The region is one of the most interesting in Portugal.
The nearby town of Colares is charming and the villages of Galamares and Mucifal have handy shopping facilities. Cascais town has a great shopping centre. In Sintra see the old palace, the fairytale mountaintop Palacio da Pena and the romantic Montserrat (walking distance). The many beaches are sandy and fun, with serious surfing.

Casa Camarre is a spacious villa with a cool interior and native Portuguese wooden furniture.
It has two big ground floor living areas, a dining room, kitchen and breakfast area ... as well as sleeping/bathroom facilities for 6 on the ground floor.
Upstairs is a huge games room with ping pong table and the remaining sleeping/bathroom facilities for 7 more people. There is also a small balcony. All along the front of the house is a lovely red terrace with a large retractable awning to keep the sun off.
The house is surrounded by its own grounds and lawn, with a small orchard in which is set the swimming pool. There are parking facilities for 4-5 cars inside the grounds if need be.
