This unique property, overlooking the scenic town of Clifden, was formerly a Church. Built in 1825, one of the town`s earliest houses, the property is now one of Connemara`s listed buildings.
Many original features remain, including large stone fireplaces, exposed stone walls, old pine floors, doors and staircase. Open plan living space and large stone-arched palladian windows allow plenty of light, giving a bright and spacious atmosphere.
The house has recently been restored and now offers 4 bedrooms en-suite, 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor, a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area, and a lounge area on the first floor with balcony overlooking the living quarters below. There are 2 staircases on either side of the house - the old pine staircase leads to the open balcony, which overlooks the living room/fire, and an attractive spiral staircase leads to the large stone bedroom (dormitory).
All bedrooms overlook a large sheltered garden at the rear of the house, offering complete privacy.
The house has central heating and all modern conveniences. Electricity and heating are extra. It is located in a quiet residential area of Clifden, close to a fine selection of restaurants and local amenities.
