San Gimignano, the well-preserved medieval city of towers is just 15 km away, while Volterra, a historic Etruscan city, can be reached driving along 43 km of the most beautiful roads in Tuscany, part of the Volterrana: the legendary road for people who love to drive through the countryside, by car or by bike! Then, if you want to taste or buy some excellent wine, you don’t have to go very far to visit the wine cellars where the most famous red wine in the world is made, Chianti Classico. Throughout the year the Tuscan towns are animated by fairs, festivals, theme-celebrations and historic re-enactments with street markets, suppers, tastings and fireworks.
