This quiet property is south facing and is in a short cul de sac, with a garden, and plenty of on road parking. Situated just outside the pretty medieval village of Calonge with its Xlth century castle, its easy to reach from Barcelona (1 hr) or Girona (40 mins), There is a choice of fantastic beaches, good restaurants, great shopping, year round sports including championship golf, stimulating culture and exciting night life.
The villa's large airy rooms can be opened up to give a through breeze and help keep it cool in summer. Both the sitting room and the main bedroom have French windows opening onto large south facing terraces with views to the sea. One terrace is covered and is complete with an additional table and chairs giving al fresco dining for 8.
Villa Gavarra is a gentle 25 mins walk through village and vineyards to Calonge centre. It has most facilities, including bank, post office,doctors, restaurants and several supermarkets, but for only a 10 mins drive you can also visit the traditional fishing port of Palamos, lively Play d’Aro, or for an extra 5 mins more you can explore gentile St Feliu.
For beach life choose from romantic rocky coves to broad sweeping safe sandy beaches. Because Calonge is at the centre of the Costa Brava, the Pyrenees’ ski resorts are only 2 hours away, whilst a trip to cosmopolitan Barcelona takes just over an hour
