Antiparos is located opposite the island of Paros, in the heart of the Cyclades. It is a small island which has retained an authentic character and remains cut off from mass tourism. Most of its population resides in the little village, also called Antiparos. There are regular day and night ferry services (10 minutes duration) between Antiparos and Paros. A recently sealed road connects the town with the various beaches and the famous caves. Villa Makris, located 7 kilometres from the village, is surrounded by large grounds, bordered by a private beach. From its position on a small hill, the house has beautiful panoramic views over the village, the channel between Paros and Antiparos, to the open sea with the islands of Naxos, Ios and Iraklia, and back around over the countryside of hills in the centre of the island. The house was built about 10 years ago by the well-known architect, J. Makris, in typical Greek Islands' style, tastefully decorated and furnished, and with all modern facilities. There is a swimming pool (10 x 5m) with overflow effect, overlooking the sea. Here there is also a bar, kitchenette and a large dining table, as well as an outdoor shower, changing room and bathroom. Main House Large living/dining room with fireplace, and open-plan kitchen, opening to terrace with outdoor dining area and barbecue on one side, and on the other to a large terrace with seating areas. 3 double bedrooms, each with dressing room and bathroom (shower only), and private verandah overlooking the sea. Twin bedroom, with dressing room and bathroom and separate access from outside. Guest House Apartment with a twin bedroom, a living room with 2 extra beds, a dressing room and bathroom. To the rear of the guest house, is staff accommodation. STAFF Maid included 7 days a week 8am-3pm.
